Corus Radio Calgary’s long road to a new home started July 11, 2012 at 1:12 in the afternoon. This was the date and time that Shaw Court in Calgary experienced an electrical transformer explosion and resultant fire.

He was one of the few broadcasters to have spent his entire career in radio in Victoria BC.

The jury unanimously sided with the labels and publishers and handed down a 10-figure damages award. It found Cox liable for both contributory and vicarious infringement, and that the infringement was willful, awarding just under $100,000 per work.
