Paul Rhymer’s scripted sly humour made the series unique for almost 20 years … When radio’s “show with a heart” made its debut. “Strike It Rich” became a weekly Sunday night favorite on CBS radio… When the radio version of “The Life of Riley,” starring William Bendix, ended its 7-year run on NBC Radio… ..and when Neil Diamond made his TV debut on ABC’s “American Bandstand,” performing his first Top Ten hit “Cherry, Cherry.” ALL the milestones for June 29th INSIDE.
