Radio Cite 97.9 FM Edmonton – Press Release
It is finally here! 69 years after the opening of the first Edmonton French radio, that eventually became Radio-Canada (CBC), a new radio station will open. On October 6 at 5:30 pm, the Société de la radio communautaire du Grand Edmonton Society, will launch Radio Cité on the grounds of the Cité francophone d’Edmonton. The radio will unite under a same frequency the francophones and Francophiles of greater Edmonton. Three studios are installed at the ground level of the building with the offices on the first floor

Montreal sports broadcaster Randy Tieman dead at 64
Tieman had a 34-year career with CTV Montreal, up until this past June, when he was part of layoffs at Bell Media that saw the CFCF-TV sports department eliminated.
