Staff who maintain the news homepages on Microsoft’s MSN website and its Edge browser – used by millions of Britons every day – have been told that they will be no longer be required because robots can now do their jobs.

CFCH was the first radio station owned by Lord Roy Thomson, and launched in March 1931 after Thomson began selling radios in northern Ontario for De Forest Crosley Radios. He quickly became frustrated selling radios in an area that had spotty reception. Deciding to put a radio station on the air himself he bought an unused licence for $1 and an old transmitter for $200, and the temporary use of a technician to install it.
