One of Canada’s broadcast legends passed away on Tuesday, 28 September 2012. Radio reporter Ed Mason worked at a number of top stations across Canada — in an era when radio was king.

Sept. 29th was also the date a number of ABC-TV hits debuted, including Love American Style, My Three Sons, Make Room for Daddy, thirtysomething, Macgyver and Grace Under Fire. On this day in 2012, KZOK Seattle radio personality Donny Bonaduce received a painful bite on the cheek from a female fan who had asked for a kiss.

This one hurts personally:  longtime friend and BCIT Broadcast and Media Communications faculty member Dennis O’Neill passed away at his home on Friday September 24th at the age of 63.

Her work extends well beyond FM, into some of the things you might hear like cartoons and commercials, but also in Anime, Audiobooks and now Podcast. If there's audio to be recorded, she is likely recording it.
