She died on Saturday from complications related to recently-diagnosed thyroid cancer. She was a former award-winning political journalist and Victoria bureau chief with The Province newspaper.

Detectives are currently investigating the death of the popular Los Angeles news personality, who was found unresponsive in a Glendale, California Days Inn.

Katie Boer got physical after attending a holiday party hosted by station colleagues. She attempted to drive after drinking at the event and when friends tried to stop her from driving she punched one of them.
