The station is unable to pay its liabilities and is at risk of losing its broadcasting licence, allegedly due to the financial mismanagement of Fitzroy Gordon (pictured), the station’s founder and president, who died on April 30.

He moved to Vancouver in the mid-1950's, where he joined the recently rebranded C-FUN and CJOR, then went to CKOV in Kelowna. But most of his broadcasting career was spent on the prairies with the CBC.
