Susan Knight

Word reached us a few days ago, Susan Knight, current Program Director and mid-day host with Pattison’s Q103 in Kelowna,  will not only be heading back to Victoria for a second time, but also returning to Rogers for a second time, this time with the Ocean, as the new PD, and pm drive host.  Susan last worked in Victoria for Mel Cooper’s then, new fm station, CHBE, back in 2001.

Susan was a graduate of Fanshawe radio college in Ontario, then worked briefly for Telemedia in that province before moving out west and joining Rogers Mountain FM in Squamish as an on air host. Next up was Mel Coopers new fm radio station, then called CHBE (now KOOL FM) in Victoria for a few years, then her first move to Kelowna was co-hosting mornings on Sun FM with Tarzan Dan Freeman. Once this popular morning duo split up, Dan heading to Vancouver and Rogers, Susan moving to Calgary doing pm drive at Rawlco’s uP (now Soft Rock.) From Calgary, its back to Kelowna, this time with the Jim Pattison Group and Q 103, and now its back to Victoria.  Susan’s starting day at the Ocean is October the 2nd, 2017

Although delighted to hear of Susan’s new gig, our thoughts were on the current Ocean PD, Rob Therrien,

 Talk about connecting the dots…
Rob Therrien

Rob, who goes by Rob Michaels on the air is heading over to the mainland to become PD and afternoon host of Rogers Star FM and he’ll continue to oversee programming on Mountain FM. Rob told us over the weekend, “It was a choice to be closer to our family on the mainland. Totally a family based decision and I’ll definitely miss Victoria.”

Rob’s starting day is October 10, 2017
