Well, maybe a ‘rumble’ isn’t exactly the word for what could happen, but we’ll bet there will be some considerable convention floor buzz and the continuation of a war of words in the wake of two dueling Thursday afternoon sessions — Nielsen PPM Encoding Update and Voltair: New Monitoring Capabilities for Measuring Watermark Quality — at this week’s 2015 NAB/RAB Radio Show in Atlanta.

While Nielsen has maintained ‘radio silence’ on the controversy over PPM’s reliability since a July client call (in which the company promised to deliver PPM “enhancements” by the end of this year), the folks over at 25-Seven Systems and the Telos Alliance are trumpeting news of the official release of ‘Voltair 2.0’ in advance of Thursday (10/1) afternoon’s Radio Show session.

“Voltair gives stations a peek into the ‘black box’ of a critical system that directly affects their bottom line, and Version 2.0 provides them with more information than ever before,” notes 25-Seven founder Geoff Steadman.

“Clients who’ve previewed Voltair’s new capabilities can’t stop raving about the level of information it provides them with. And, as everybody knows, information means power.”

We’d suggest you grab your seats early, as you can expect standing-room-only turnouts at both of these sessions that will be held at Atlanta’s Marriott Marquis Hotel.
