Lisa Marie Presley married Nicholas Cage (Nick filed for divorce 4 months later), Manhattan Transfer debuted a summer variety series on CBS-TV, Candid Camera began its run on ABC, Alan Sherman released his novelty smash, 'Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh,' and Paul and Linda McCartney were arrested for drug possession in Sweden.
