The veteran sportscaster who delivered sports news on CFRB, Toronto, (CKWX, CJOR, CKDA and CJAV before that) plus play-by-play on Canadian radio and television for more than five decades, has passed away. He was 85.

CBS to Keep Colbert’s ‘Late Show’ at Ed Sullivan Theater

“We’re thrilled to continue broadcasting CBS’s ‘Late Show’ from New York and call the Ed Sullivan Theater its home,” said CBS CEO Les Moonves, who announced the decision to keep the show close to its roots in a joint announcement with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Global BC’s Brian Coxford to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

The Jack Webster Foundation today announced that Global BC reporter Brian Coxford, will receive the 2014 Bruce Hutchison Lifetime Achievement Award at the 28th Annual Jack Webster Awards Dinner on October 29, 2014. The dinner, featuring National Post columnist and CBC commentator Andrew Coyne, will also honour the past year's best journalists with coveted Webster statues in 13 news categories.
