The daughter of politicians grew up to cover the family business in Washington for ABC News and NPR over several decades. She died Tuesday of complications from breast cancer at age 75.

Tthe TV show host said doctors urged him to undergo another round of chemotherapy after he lost a significant amount of weight.

Dinah was the top selling vocalist in the 1940’s.  Had 80 charted hits including this one from 1949:  Buttons & Bows.  She died at age 77 in 1994.

The FCC has voted to approve Nexstar’s $4.1 billion takeover of Tribune Media, paving the way for Nexstar to become the nation’s largest owner of television stations with more than 200 outlets serving a wide swath of the US.

CD sales have fallen 34% to $698 million, the first time it had totaled less than $1 billion since 1986.

The case includes Android boxes, which have become the scourge of the cable industry. When special software is added and the boxes are connected to TVs, they can be used to stream unauthorized content, mostly movie and TV shows.
