Dirty Work…

In 1974, Songbird was formed. Band members included Howard Leese, Steve Moyer, Robert (Pianoman) Deans and Don Hardy were the stage band of Columbia recording artist Tom Middleton. Mike Easton was responsible for securing Middleton’s recording contract as well as securing Tom’s band Songbird at a new Victoria night club called The Thatch, located at the Royal Oak Inn. Circa, 1973

Dirty Work was their first release, followed by I believe. Howard Leese left the band to join with Seattle’s Heart, and that pretty well left Songbird adrift…

sad, they had a great sound… Rob Deans later joined Canada’s popular band, Trooper, the other band members became studio musicians for many a group…
