Living, Loving Maid…

Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. With a heavy, guitar-driven sound, they are cited as one of the progenitors of hard rock and heavy metal, although their style drew from a variety of influences, including blues and folk music. Led Zeppelin have been credited as significantly impacting the nature of the music industry, particularly in the development of album-oriented rock (AOR) and stadium rock. Many critics consider Led Zeppelin one of the most successful, innovative and influential rock groups in history.

  1. Awesome band. I was lucky to see them twice. Concert seating in early 70s ticket cost me $14
Took my kids to a Page and Plant version in the 1990s.

  2. Here is one of their most underrated songs. The Live version from the NYC concert The Song Remains The Same, original master with John Paul Jones on the keyboards IS AN INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE !

    (lyrics)
    LED ZEPPELIN: NO QUARTER

Close the door, put out the light
No, they won’t be home tonight
The snow falls hard and don’t you know?
The winds of Thor are blowing cold

They’re wearing steel that’s bright and true
They carry news that must get through, oh
They choose the path where no-one goes
    They hold no quarter
    They hold no quarter, oh

    Walking side-by-side with death
The devil mocks their every step, ooh
The snow drives back the foot that’s slow
The dogs of doom are howling more

They carry news that must get through
To build a dream for me and you, oh, oh, oh
They choose the path where no one goes
    They hold no quarter
    They ask no quarter

    They hold no quarter
    They ask no quarter
    Yeah
Without quarter, quarter, yeah (without quarter)
    Without quarter, quarter, quarter
    Taking no quarter
Oh, oh, oh (hear the dogs of doom) (no, never quarter)
I hear the dogs of doom are howling more
