KDKA Radio talk show host Wendy Bell taken off the air after controversial comments

Pittsburgh-area radio host Wendy Bell came under fire for questioning whether the government shutdown was necessary to save the “small percent” of people who contract the coronavirus.

 

Entercom Pittsburgh announced that it has taken talk show host Wendy Bell off the air at KDKA Radio because of recent comments she made “that do not align with Entercom’s values.”

Entercom Pittsburgh Senior Vice President Michael Spacciapolli said in a statement posted on social media, “Entercom is the home to thousands of voices representing Americans of all races, ethnicities, gender identity, sexual orientation, beliefs and ability.
