While Friday marks the welcome beginning of the weekend for many of us, a number of execs in senior positions with Regina-based Harvard Broadcasting found themselves out of a job today.

Tamara Konrad, the GM at Edmonton for the past decade is gone.  The GM in Red Deer Daryl Holien was allegedly forced to retire last week, although he claims to have left on his own terms, after 44 years in radio.  And the Harvard GM in Regina Jason Huschi, plus the GM at Fort McMurray Craig Picton, also were handed their walking papers.

Sara Parker, the PD at Harvard’s KRAZE in Red Deer is out.  Chris Meyers will reportedly add the station to the two in Edmonton he’s already programming.  And National PD Christian Hall will have direct  hands on with Harvard’s other Red Deer station, X 100.7.

Another little tidbit we learned is that Harvard handed staff a 25% pay cut when COVID arrived and things were looking bleak earlier this year.  But the good news is they’re now in the process of paying it back.

  1. Wow. So sad that a great man like Paul Hill has allowed the upper management of Harvard Broadcasting to rape and pillage the the talented people that made him a respectable member in Canadian broadcasting.
I had so much awe and respect for Mr. Hill and it saddens me to see how he’s relinquished his values to people who have none.
