Jeffrey Tambor Officially Dropped from ‘Transparent’ in Wake of Harassment Claims

It’s official: Jeffrey Tambor will not be returning to Amazon Studios’ Transparent in the wake of sexual harassment claims and a subsequent internal investigation by the retail and streaming giant.
Amazon confirmed the news Thursday, noting that it had completed its internal investigation into the Emmy-winning actor. Tambor will have no role in the forthcoming season of the Jill Soloway critical darling.
“I have great respect and admiration for Van Barnes and Trace Lysette, whose courage in speaking out about their experience on Transparent is an example of the leadership this moment in our culture requires,” Soloway said Thursday in a statement. “We are grateful to the many trans people who have supported our vision for Transparent since its inception and remain heartbroken about the pain and mistrust their experience has generated in our community. We are taking definitive action to ensure our workplace respects the safety and dignity of every individual, and are taking steps to heal as a family.”
“I am profoundly disappointed in Amazon’s handling of these false accusations against me,” Tambor said Thursday evening in a statement. “I am even more disappointed in Jill Soloway’s unfair characterization of me as someone who would ever cause harm to any of my fellow cast mates. In our four-year history of working together on this incredible show, these accusations have NEVER been revealed or discussed directly with me or anyone at Amazon. Therefore, I can only surmise that the investigation against me was deeply flawed and biased toward the toxic politicized atmosphere that afflicted our set. As I have consistently stated, I deeply regret if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone and I will continue to vehemently defend myself. I also deeply regret that this ground-breaking show, which changed so many lives, is now in jeopardy. That, to me, is the biggest heartbreak.”

I’m watching the world spin out of control. Waiting for the new inquisitions and kangaroo courts… OH WAIT THEY DON’T EVEN BOTHER WITH KANGAROO COURTS!!! An allegation is as good as a conviction, SET UP THE NEW GULAGS. At least the male inmates can watch their last days, the great western developed world we built notably post WWII BURN TO ASHES! 🙁

Les I can’t agree with you more. All this if now way out of control! The media is the court now apparently. This generation is destroying our everything and I am only 35 yo!

Don’t know who Tambor is or anything about him but this whole thing is getting very very scary!

As we all agree those that have been proven guilty should be dealt with and pay for their actions but this “Trial in the Court of Public Opinion” On simple Accuasations with No Evidence is become a threat to Democracy and Common Decency.

What is going on with the “Me Too” Movement is becoming very reminiscent of “The Which Trials”, “Burned at the Stake” simply because of an accusation by a Disgruntled Neighbour holding a Grudge or God Forbid a Whim!

Or even more reminiscent of the 14 month old “Nothing Butter” U.S. Justice Dept. “Russia Trump Investigation”.

Sickenly Sad but Liberal Media refuse to acknowledge the Results of the 2016 U.S. Federal Presidential Election Results.

The Dems and their Liberal Media Supporters, Entertainment Genius’s, George Soros, and other SJW are talking very confidently about the Mid Terms but I strongly believe they will once again be victims of Hard Working Voters wanting to regain Control of Borders, Migration, Law and Order, Education, and other Government Departments while at the same time ensuring their Democracy once again ensures Justice for ALL, not just Special Interest Groups.

Shane, I am bit more than a decade older than you but its great to see not all young dudes are lost souls.

Yes, this generation are totally unaware that they are destroying their own world and as such going to make their futures miserable out of their own virtue signaling and self-loathing, all just to destroy the great western developed world, its values, ideals and history. A history of improving all lives who lived/live under it while they destroy men and the western male/female relationship. They do it for trying to gain approval from Feminists and other SJW’s along with getting SJW high fives while all the while they are oblivious to “Rome” burning around them.

Soon if this craziness continues women will self segregate accept for only socially enforced baby mills to spawn out more mindless, emotionless, socially incapable, socialists and cultural Marxist drones. The coming intersection of Marxism and Islam will be a short lived TRUCE as each feel they will use each other but both due natural backwardness, one, THE COMMIES are GODLESS and the other, The Religion Of Peace unwittingly worships Lucifer will BOTH IN THE END, A BLOODY END IT WILL BE, WILL DESTROY EACH OTHER AND BURN SOCIETY ALONG WITH IT ALL!!! At the front of this future dystopia will be women, selfish, childish and arrogant they will be, but worse will be CUCKED, WHITE KNIGHT, SIMP, MALES! Males not men, but mere mangina males… MAY GOD HELP US! 🙁

So the employer took its time, investigated and made its decision, and that’s still an injustice?

Let me guess, this somehow doesn’t constitute “due process” and you want private employers to be forced by the government to only be able act after a criminal investigation and trial? Classic nanny state thinking. If they are satisfied he was a harasser and don’t fire him they are opening themselves up to massive liability.

Amazon is free to fire him. He is free to sue them.

Should Michigan State and US Gymnastics have taken action against Nasser earlier than they did, or are you satisfied with the way they acted as more and more victims piled up?

There is no attempt to curtail the effect of accusations that normally would never be considered without some form of proof. It takes only a suggestion of wrongdoing to destroy the reputation & life of the accused. We are seeing the witch hunts of Salem re-enacted. I have no doubt there are people who exploit & abuse but this has opened a door that completely blows every day interactions into something sinister if one cares to view it that way.

Zebb your defense of simple accusations being enough is admirable. Maybe someday (Im assuming your a male) a female co worker decides she doesnt like you. All she needs to do is go to your boss and her dreams come true. Your right is is simple.

Do yourself a Huge Favour, Re-read Posts from Shane, Les H, Barb, and 13, then pull on your “Thinking Cap “, Tighten it Down, plug your Ears, Blow Real Hard, count to 6 and shake your Head Sideways 4 Times.

By then you just might get it! At least I hope you do.

If you do not get it by then please Repeat the Process.

“Claims” the key word. Yup, guilty until proved innocent!
