Michael Parks, ‘Twin Peaks’ and ‘Kill Bill’ Actor, Dead at 77

Michael Parks, an acclaimed actor who appeared in many of Quentin Tarantino’s greatest works, has died.He was 77.

News of his passing was shared Wednesday by director Kevin Smith, who worked with Parks on recent projects “Red State” and “Tusk.”

“I hate to report that my cinematic muse #michaelparks has passed away,” Smith wrote on Instagram. “Michael was, and will likely forever remain, the best actor I’ve ever known.”

“I loved his acting so much,” he continued. “He was, hands-down, the most incredible thespian I ever had the pleasure to watch perform. And Parks brought out the absolute best in me every time he got near my set.”

A cause of death was not immediately available for Parks, who broke into the industry in the early 1960s with a number of TV roles — including “Zane Grey Theater” and “The Untouchables” — before entering the movie realm.He had a key role in the 90’s TV series Twin Peaks, and starred in the earlier primetime series, The Colbys and Then Came Bronson.
