CJAY 92 host smashes fundraising goal to cover Taliyah Marsman, Sara Baillie’s funeral costs

CJAY 92 radio host Gerry Forbes has raised $27,000 to cover the funeral costs for five-year-old Taliyah Marsman and her mother Sara Baillie, surpassing his original goal of $15,000.

Edward Delton Downey, 46, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in their deaths. Police say Downey was a family friend to Baillie and Marsman.

Forbes, who hosts the Gerry Forbes Show, raised the money through his Gerry Forbes Secret Wish program, which raises money for families facing tragedies.
