Doug Zackodnik

Doug Zackodnic of Vista Courtenay/Powell River and Gord Gauvin of Vista Duncan/Nanaimo cluster are also gone…

  1. It’s a shame!! Really is!! Hate to see anyone lose their jobs in this day and age. I spent over a decade in radio and it seemed like I got out at the right time (2003)
These stations refuse to believe that commercial radio isn’t dying its dead!! Yet…..they fire GM’s and reformat for the 12th time in 4 years and expect things to change?? The old saying is “crap in, you’ll get crap out”

Refusing to hire true on air talent (cause let’s face it that costs money)

How about giving the listener an aching reason to not want to turn that dial? Man that morning show was amazing and when the morning show ends I know some sick talent will follow mid day and a hilarious afternoon drive host will follow. But…….no…..we get canned voice tracked boredom. This is…..that was…..coming up next is…..yawn!!

Entertain the listeners, give advertisers a reason to spend $$$$ but nope!! Same old small market radio!! Definition of insanity ?? Doing the same thing over and over expecting to get different results. Well……that’s what commercial radio has been doing for the last 15 years!!
Pretty sad when millions of subscribers would rather pay (sirius/xm) for something that should always be free??
