Scott Fee, CHEK’s former News Director as well as a former anchor and reporter, is making a return.

A familiar face and veteran broadcaster on Vancouver Island is returning to CHEK News.

Scott Fee, CHEK’s former News Director as well as a former anchor and reporter at the station, has been hired to produce and anchor CHEK’s weekend newscast.

Longtime CHEK viewers may remember Fee as the anchor of CHEK’s flagship newscast in the late 2000s.

Fee was at the desk in September 2009, one of the more memorable broadcasts in CHEK’s history, when he delivered the news to Vancouver Island that CHEK employees had purchased the station, making it North America’s first and only employee-owned television station.

Between 2006 and 2012, Fee held several positions at CHEK, including anchor of the weekend newscast, a role he’s now returning to 17 years later.
