Peter Kenneth Frampton (born 22 April 1950)[1] is an English-American[2] guitarist, singer and songwriter who rose to prominence as a member of the rock bands the Herd and Humble Pie.[3] Later in his career Frampton found success as a solo artist. He has released several albums, including his breakthrough album, the live release Frampton Comes Alive! (1976), which spawned several hit singles and has earned 8× Platinum by the RIAA in the United States.[4] He has also worked with various acts such as Ringo Starrthe Who‘s John EntwistleDavid Bowie, and both Matt Cameron and Mike McCready of Pearl Jam.

Frampton is best known for the hit songs “Show Me the Way“, “Baby, I Love Your Way“, “Do You Feel Like We Do“, and “I’m in You“, all of which remain staples of classic rock radio. He has also appeared as himself in television shows such as The SimpsonsFamily Guy, and Madam Secretary.

  1. I Play a few of his songs on guitar. My wife and I joke about some of his lyrics. Whatever rhymes in the “Framptonizer” (as we call it) comes out whether it makes sense or not. 😉
