It’s Fake News Friday with Andrew Lawton and Harrison Faulkner!

This week, the CBC attempted to debunk the “conspiracy theory” that a London facility was producing crickets for human consumption. Unfortunately for the state broadcaster, the facility’s developers acknowledge that crickets are in fact being made for humans. Whoops –another failed attempt by the CBC to debunk a “conspiracy theory.”

Next up on the cancellation block is – surprise, surprise – Winston Churchill. According to an op-ed in the CBC, the leader who defeated the rise of fascism in Europe has “outdated views” and should no longer be commemorated as per the standards of 2022.

  1. Amusing, as more and more historical figures get torn down or cancelled and otherwise
demonized for things that , in the 21st century, offend us greatly. Let’s look ahead to
the next 50 or 150 years and ponder who and what it is that we think to be correct today, will be torn down, cancelled and demonized.

Of course that will never happen because we, as society in 2022, can do no wrong. Everything we think say and do is perfect for all time. We have saved the planet and all its peoples. We are the best.

Horrible things have happened in the past. Horrible things are happening today too. It’ll just take some time till someone decides exactly what it is that offends them.

Tune in to the CBC in 2155 and hear how wrong we are right now.

  2. Yes, let’s cancel the past 🤯
However, those that cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it.
So then, more of the same I guess… 😭
