Former Vancouver broadcaster Cam Cathcart died Saturday afternoon at his home. He was with CBC for 25 years as a reporter, foreign correspondent, producer and host, later becoming a Senior Associate with media communications company Stanton Associates. Cathcart was very active in the community, including serving as Chair of the Vancouver Remembrance Day Committee for 15 years. He received several awards for his service.
Another Vancouver legend gone, he will be missed at the Remembrance Day service. RIP
Cam was a great gentleman to work with and a real professional to work with at CHQM AM &FM while I was news Director for Many years. Like like many who have passed away over the years he will be missed, but remembered, RIP Friend.
