As a fellow graduates of UBC Radsoc, my friend Dave McCormick and I looked to Ron Robinson, Ross Crain and others at CKWX as models to follow in the business. When Ron went to CJVI, we worked on a project to broadcast temperatures in Elk and Beaver Lake for the swimmers. Ron Robinson is one of the classic broadcasters – smart, articulate, clear, and perhaps best of all that great radio voice. A voice that guided my generation of radio jocks.
