ABC, CBS, NYT, Rolling Stone lose motions to dismiss defamation suit brought by Nick Sandmann

After both CNN and The Washington Post settled the multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuits he brought against them, former Covington Catholic high school student Nick Sandmann won another victory Thursday.

Four additional news corporations — ABC News, CBS News, The New York Times, and Rolling Stone — facing similar defamation suits from Sandmann all filed motions to dismiss the cases being brought against them. Each motion was denied by the court.

  1. The media were a bit quick to jump on the Sandman bandwagon and it “bit” them back. Watching today’s media things seem to go viral so fast that fact checking is an after thought. Screen crawlers on TV often appear with typo’s and poor grammar. In my local Seattle radio market stories are often posted on their website that clearly were not spell checked. To fill a 24/7 news cycle “first” seems more important accuracy, facts, and running by the outlets legal department.

  2. I must say I am overjoyed. I would like to see every stinking little tv station across Canada and the USA have to cough up for their biased reporting. The kids were guilty of being white and catholic. OH THE HORROR
