Coronavirus Takes News 1130 Interference Station Away

0

A suburban Portland 25 KW station KXET  on 1130 KHz has been taken off the air by owner Bustos Media, due to the ‘economic turmoil caused by the coronavirus pandemic.’

Listeners in fringe areas of the 50 KW News 1130 (CKWX Vancouver) signal had reported interference from the Portland transmitter carrying brokered Russian Christian programming, under its ‘Slavic Family Radio’ branding.

Also gone silent for the same economic reasons surrounding COVID-19 is Bustos-owned AM1210 KMIA Auburn-Federal Way/Seattle, a member of the regional Mexican ‘La Pantera’ network.
