SEATTLE-TACOMAMovin’ Along

This will be a story of market dominance. Our protagonist is HUBBARD Top 40/M KQMV (MOVIN 92.5). The station was #1 6+ for the fourth straight survey and posted its best share in over a year (7.4-7.8).

UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON N/T KUOW moved up to #2 with its best outing since JULY (5.0-5.5). iHEARTMEDIA Classic Rock KZOK slipped to #3 with its lowest total since MARCH (6.1-4.9). It was tied with BONNEVILLE TALK KIRO-F (5.0-4.9). HUBBARD AC KRWM (WARM 106.9) slipped to #5 (5.0-4.8) but winter is coming. ENTERCOM AC KSWD (94.1 THE SOUND) fell from #3 to #8 (5.2-4.4) and was tied with ENTERCOM ACTIVE ROCK KISW, which moved up from #11 (3.7-4.4).

Though KQMV was down 25-54, the station remained a strong #1 and won the demo for the eleventh straight survey. KISW advanced from #8 to #2 with its best book since JUNE but still trailed the leader by almost two shares. KUOW stepped up to #3 with its third up book in a row while KRWM moved up to #4 with its best outing since APRIL. ENTERCOM Country KKWF (100.7 THE WOLF) slipped back to #5 as it ended a three-book surge. KZOK fell four slots to #6 with its lowest mark since MARCH. iHEARTMEDIA Adult Hits KJAQ (96.5 JACK FM) fell four places to #7 as it ended a robust two-book surge.

This was the third straight survey that KQMV cracked the double-digit barrier 18-34. KISW moved up to #2 as it got back all of last month’s big loss. However, it was still four shares behind the leader. KKWF stepped down to #3 as it halted a four-book surge and was paired with a flat KUOW. ENTERCOM Rhythmic AC KHTP (HOT 103.7) repeated at #5 with a slight increase.

KQMV had its best 18-49 book since APRIL to crush it once again. KISW stood alone at #2 with its highest mark since JUNE. Its former partner in that space – KKWF – fell to #6 as it ended a three-book surge. KRWM was up to #3 with a small gain. Last month both KHTP and KUOW were tied at #8. They remained an item but moved to better digs at #4. ENTERCOM Alternative KNDD (107.7 THE END) and KJAQ had been tied at #5. THE END slipped to #7 while JACK landed in a tie at #9 with KZOK.
