According to Gord Lansdell at Northwest Boadcasters, former CKNW AM 980 staffer Pat MacPherson succumbed to cancer August 28 at a hospice in Burnaby, just three days before her 90th birthday.
She held the position of Traffic Manager at CKNW for many years
I am so sorry and sad to hear the news of Pat passing. In all my years in broadcasting there was never a nicer person. You will be missed.

I’m so sad to hear about Pat’s passing. She was my mentor at CKNW/CFMI but more importantly she was my friend. I think of her often . She truly was the nicest person you could meet. We shared many laughs, her sharp wit made every day fun. RIP Pat, you will be missed.
Pat, with Tony a nd my wife Marion & myself shared many dinners in our homes. Pat was a gracious host, and Marion developed a long, loving friendship with Pat. Pat was a special person and she had incredible patience.
With Tonys passing and Marion’s passing I just know all are enjoying each other’s company Happy memories. Bless you all.
