NEIL PORTNOW remains in the crosshairs as THE LOS ANGELES TIMES reports More than 20 female music industry executives have reportedly signed an open letter calling for his resignation. The response is to several issues, including the “male-centric” GRAMMY AWARDS show, and PORTNOW’s remark during a news conference suggesting it was the responsibility of women to “step up.”
“The statement you made this week about women in music needing to ‘step up’ was spectacularly wrong and insulting and, at its core, oblivious to the vast body of work created by and with women,” read the letter. “Your attempt to backpedal only emphasizes your refusal to recognize us and our achievements. Your most recent remarks do not constitute recognition of women’s achievements, but rather a call for men to take action to ‘welcome’ women. We do not await your welcome into the fraternity. We do not have to sing louder, jump higher or be nicer to prove ourselves.”
The paper writes, “The signatories include executives at several powerful talent agencies, publicity firms, PR companies and artist managers,” and adds, “The letter also called for changes in the academy’s voting structure to better reflect the diversity of the music industry.”

All these awards shows are a waste of time, only melts viewers’ minds and pretty well all celebrities today are arrogant, bubble living idiots who feel their opinions matter. But as to the Grammys’ women (HEAR ME ROAR!!!!!!!!!!) um why can’t YOU STEP UP? By being insulted by said comment you look to verify to be unable to step up.
As to awards won, they are said to be voted on merit. OMG MERIT to many of these low talent feminist women it is a FOUR LETTER WORD!
Hey female artists, TRY CREATING SOME GOOD MUSIC FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIVES and do a lot less shaking of your T & A… Oh yeah and learn to sing, Autotune and ProTools were not meant as substitutes for TALENT!
Other than that p*ss off with your 24/7/365 faux victimhood and metoo hyped up shite!

Women and most celebrities today are socialists nicely dressed under the term progressives. They all hold onto the ideal of EQUALITY OF OUTCOME, not the proper ideal of EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY.
The flim flam that the GRAMMY’s are do still though include the idea of rewarding merit judged from your peers. All nominees have had general equality of opportunity, it is just that same do not harness such to achieve merit earned heights. It looks as if the women of the music industry today do not want to compete but expect reward because of just being women, ya know #Metoo 🙂 . TOUGH I SAY! It’s not like the dudes are burning up a creative storm in the modern music either, so they should be easy pickings for any females who have talent and hard work ethics. BUT THERE LOOKS TO BE NO WOMEN MATCHING THAT IDEAL!
