  1. Wow! NW way down in both male and female 25-54. Any gain for them in the 2-plus numbers must be in the 55-plus demo. I’d be very concerned the lacklustre 25-54 #s are saleable. I’d be polishing up my resume from PD on down unless the Sales Dept can come to the rescue. Shareholders have zero tolerance for losing numbers.

  2. Corus shareholders should be very happy. Their cluster owns Men 25 – 54. They make a decent showing with Women 25 – 54 as well. No other radio group comes close.

  3. I don’t understand why all of you cry about NW! Is it just to hear you whine about something? NW must be doing something right as it’s high up in the ratings! Who cares what it WAS or anything else! It’s still up in the top so get over it!

  4. It’s not surprising that TSN1040’s numbers are awful.

There seems to be 3 minutes of ad time for every 1 minute of broadcast time. The length of their ad breaks are simply ridiculous.

  5. Its always comforting that someone (shane) is willing to stand up for mediocrity. Sadly CKNDP would need to climb a steep hill to reach mediocrity. Currently its lucky you cant line a bird cage with your radio.

  6. Shane, I believe people are bashing NW here is because many have been let go from NW. Think its just as simple as that. I am by no means defending NW.

  7. If by fired you mean red flagged as a caller that seldom gets on air or if you mean a buzz line caller that McCombs crack production crew edits to alter the meaning of the call yes your right. The Mccomb production team led by Tim Dickers reminds me of a bunch of preschool kids playing in an arena built for pros

  8. CBC Radio One is still the best option for all-day radio listening. Though I’m sad to see Steven Quinn go to mornings. He sounds so tired in the AM. He was funnier in the afternoons.
CKNW will nose dive with the loss of Coast to Coast AM. Simi is the best bet they have left.
102.7 The Peak could be a better radio station but they lean on modern rock ‘top forty’ and I can’t stand their constant internet-style pop culture factoids.

All radio stations, please stop playing YouTube clips on the air. It’s like that annoying friend who keeps showing you AWESOME things they found on the internet while you’re trying to have a conversation. We already saw it on Reddit already. Do your job.
