As Gord Lansdell reports on his Northwest Broadcasters site, the CRTC has renewed the broadcast licences for CIMM-FM 99.5 Ucluelet and CHMZ-FM 90.1Tofino for a shorter than normal time — to August 31, 2019. That will allow for an earlier review of the licensees’ compliance with their conditions of licence and with the Commission’s regulatory requirements. Both stations, owned by Matthew McBride, have been found over time to be non-compliant with various regulatory requirements.
