     .

It became official this morning that Indiana Governor Mike Pence is Donald Trump’s choice as VP. Pence has history in the radio business, having hosted “The Mike Pence Show,” which was based at [then] WRCR/Rushville, IN. Pence referred to himself “Rush Limbaugh on decaf,” explaining he considered himself politically conservative — but not as outspoken as Limbaugh.

    .

The MIKE PENCE Show was syndicated by NETWORK INDIANA on 19 stations statewide, the largest of which was WIBC/INDIANAPOLIS.

PENCE’s most recent radio-related event was when EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS Chairman/Pres./CEO JEFF SMULYAN was one of nine CEOs to call on him to revise its controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act (NET NEWS 3/31/15).
