WINNIPEG — A new country music radio station will flip the switch at midnight on Saturday.

NOW Country 104.7 will take over from the former Rhythm 104.7 to play the newest country hits alongside Manitoba singer/songwriters and the country’s Indigenous artists.

“The country music of today has evolved into a new sound, and NOW Country 104.7 will be committed to presenting and supporting modern country music,” said David Mcleod, Native Communications CEO.

Over the next two weeks, NOW Country 104.7 will preview its new format.

Kimberley Dawn will launch the station’s new morning show on Monday, July 25, airing weekdays from 6-10 a.m. Popular NCI-FM personality Brian Cook, from NOW’s sister station, will host the afternoon show from 1-6 p.m.
