Midterm elections translated to a big victory for Fox News Channel.
FNC marked its highest-rated week of the 2014 year in both Total Day and Primetime (Mon-Fri). It was No. 1 in all of cable in total day with total viewers for the week, beating both ESPN and Nickelodeon. This is the first time since the Boston Marathon bombing coverage of April 2013 that FNC finished atop the ranking. In primetime, FNC was No. 2 for the week, behind ESPN.
CNN ranked 25th in total day 26th in primetime while MSNBC finished 24th in both categories. AMC, USA and Hallmark Channel rounded out the Top 5 networks in primetime for the week
