Tito Jackson, who along with brothers Michael, Jermaine, Jackie and Marlon was a founding member of the iconic family group the Jackson 5, died Sunday at age 70.

Over the next few weeks I am going to post some ‘from behind the walls at 630 CHED’ memories before the station flips to 880 on the dial. Bob Layton will be joining in with contributions from his two books on the station!

The band had commercial success in the 1970s with hit singles "Sylvia's Mother" (1972), "The Cover of 'Rolling Stone'" (1973), "Only Sixteen" (1976), "A Little Bit More" (1976), "Sharing the Night Together" (1978), "When You're in Love with a Beautiful Woman" (1979), and "Better Love Next Time" (1979).

Canadian-born Jenny Jones (pictured) began a syndicated US TV talk show that lasted 12 years. and the CBC introduced ‘The Fifth Estate’ which has now been the network’s key newsmagazine for 44 years.
