Unfortunately, newsbeat, you posted 2007's Best of Vancouver NOT 2008's Best of Vancouver.  I decided to check it out myself, after thinking that Kristi Gordon, Chris Gailus and Rena Heer aren't exactly "new" personalities!  Mind you, Chris Gailus came in second again this year, behind Wesla Wong.   The link for 2008's list can be found here: http://www.straight.com/bov2008?rotator=1

I won't post all of them like newsbeat has, however, a lot of the information is the same, with the exceptions of what Wally Radio pointed out and of the Best Local TV Anchors.  Bill Good and Pamela Martin took the top spot away from Tony, but Global is still the Best Local Newscast.  Also, Global is the "Best Media Mouthpiece for the Police" http://www.straight.com/article-162280/best-vancouver-media-mouthpiece-police
