It's been a little over a week and some morning changes are being established in Edmonton.
Has anyone listened to Shannon Tyler on Magic or the addition of Seanna Collins on EZ-Rock? What do you think of the new changes thus far?
More changes still to come with Rob & Audie launching on Tuesday and Rhubarb Jones on Joe still without a co-host.
Thoughts?

Changes of scenery but not people. The same folks jumping around the dial. These people, for the most part, have been on Edmonton radio for years. I'd like to see some new blood. Phil on K97 is new but I don't see him and Evans bringing back any of the stations past triumphs. Maybe if they add a good third person, a girl other than the last two they had with Terry. I always thought Rob and Audie were on the hokey side but the audience they're targeting will love it for a while at least. Shannon is a good fit for that format, but it's a narrow format that's at or near the bottom in every market. Seanna will be good at EZ, she's solid. Rhubarb is likable but kinda lame. They should replace Audie with a woman that has a strong personality IMO. Overall this will be a very interesting book in Edmonton.

From what I hear - replacing Audie with a woman - is exactly what they are looking at.
I think it will be a very interesting book. Although...i suspect plenty of sampling..so I don't think this book will tell the true tale...lets see next spring and falls book!  What I look forward to is listening to the women who will be on morning radio...much more than just the traditional "giggle girls". It'll be nice to hear for a change.

I think they ought to take Shaun Burke from CISN and team him with Rhubarb.  I think two guys work best on that station.

Joe's an awesome station. They'll hire Jenny to co-host with Rhubarb. I suspect Joe and Capital are playing a little chicken with each other; they both want to see what the other is holding before making anything public.  Might be smart for Joe to have a reality contest to find the next morning show co-host. Just might carry them through ratings. ??

Why would you mess with a successful formula on CISN?

If they hire Jenny Adams, that'll be the last time I'll tune into Joe FM.  Although it would be nice to hear a few more female voices on the radio, it has to be someone with the talent and the wit to carry it off (not just a woman for the sake of having a woman).  A lot hinges on the choice they'll make; I'm hoping Julie James is gonna take her time and make the right decision.
