I don' t know why I thought about him... but do any of you guys remember that crazy kid that used to post on the old Radio Vibes message board that was obsessed with formats? What was that guy's name and whatever happend to him? he had that spooky avatar of a kid wearing an oxygen mask. I sorta miss his crazy rantings.

I believe you're referring to Passdatdutch. "Crazy" might be one description, but I got the impression from some of his posts that he had some form of mental disability. |

That is funny. He had some really interesting format flips. Not only that but he knew every station that had the same format in Canada. His flips changed radio he had some good ideas ha ha ha. After Vibes another board started the guy who ran that was a nut bar. I think they all moved over to the other site. Names I won't mention. They can stay on that board. |

Interesting name: "Passdadutch".... obviously a reggae-phile... maybe from the old reggae tune with the refrain: "pass de dutchie from de lef' han' side..." Just wondering. |

No, more like Missy Elliott. "Pass That Dutch" was a single of hers, released in 2003. This kid showed up on the scene a short while later. By the end I'm pretty sure there was another poster (Tottenham Man who attempted to mimic Dutchy's scattered and pedantic style. |

Go to http://www.radio-info.com/smf/ to the Canada section. Although mellow now yezinkow (+numerous other names of his) started off right were he left off a couple yrs ago. He is very informed and seems to live radio 24/7. There seems to be enough people now that he doesn't need to answer himself any more. |

no, Tot and Passdatdurch were two very different people. Tot was a sales rep or something from Alberta.... and Dutchie was... well, special.
I remember him answering his own posts all the time! now that is funny.
Specs, do you have any old Radio Vibes threads? You should post an old post for the newer posters on here that never got to experience the glory of a Passdatdutch rambling. |

Hmm.. I'd have to dig up the old database. Not sure if I can get the old posts out of it though. I'll check. |

How about Luscious Johnny V? Remember him? He used to claim to be the god of all things radio... and always referred to himself in the third person. Ahhh RadioVibes. Memories.... |
