Actually, I think it's 'A', believe it or not. 'A' British Columbia.

My 15 year old daughter and my husband and I looked forward every weekday morning to having our breakfast while listening to BT with Dave and Simi, we love their wacky sense of humour. For us they were what made it different from other morning shows. We can get news on any station.  

I am bummed ....I mean really bummed. I come off vacation and no Dave and Simi. So I thought they must be on vacation. Then a week goes by ...still no Dave and Simi ...by this week I figure something has gone terribly wrong. And sure enough it has. I have lived in Vancouver for the past 3 yrs and every morning I watch BT for Dave and Simi. They were friendly faces that made getting up that much easier and together they made a great morning show. Sure Mark, Dawn and Tasha are great as well but it was Dave and Simi that kept me coming back. I need that in a morning show...not sad news story after sad news story on Global - but a good ol' giggle here and there. I think City wouldn't have a clue if good talent walked up and smacked them in the nose!

p.s. What happened to Tasha?

OK geniuses at CityTV you are a small fraction as smart as all the people on here who know whats best...so Listen UP...

A) no professional wardrobe.. too often the colors and style of dress are WRONG.. my GF knows...

B) the set SUCKED.. we do not want to see 6th ave buzzing by...

C) Cam angle all wrong.. not intimate not exciting... too high up.. not enough cams and... directing sucked (unless they where no given the tools to work with)

D) music, jingle, a tune to remember (like that annoying but popular granny with glasses in the morning show after BT)

E) better graphics and transitions... don't you spend anything on tools and people who think outside the box....

F) PAY me, I am a consultant and much much smarter than it seems anyone is allowed to be at Rogers.. where are your intelligent decision makers.. (use my ideas, I get paid) if you don't pay me I will keep all the secrets that will kill Global in the ratings to myself...

I have to agree...Drew Snyder doing the Transportation piece this morning looked 'way to casual. Then there was some other dude on wearing a striped BROWN t-shirt - not a good look for the morning. Or any time, come to think of it.
Everything looks 'way too low budget. Mark Docherty doing the news is fine. Dawn Chubai OK on traffic. Everything else needs a makeover.

CITY TV is a shambles.  Always has been...the building is cursed.   I do like the new Tasha (looks like Scarlet Johannsen?) and the new male reporter looks good too.  

But Kyle Donaldson...is just too shifty, awkward, anal retentive.

Drew Snyder giving transit updates?   That's just stupid.  Is someone really going to get up...and say, "I wonder how busy the B Line is going to be today?"  Even if they ride it...they know...it's going to be busy.

The whole thing looks bush league...it's like CFUN on TV.

After years of watching all the Vancouver morning shows, I must say I was shocked like many others, waiting for Simi and Dave to come back to BT after a summer vacation. And this morning, I realized it was not to be, and googled back to see what happened.
In finding this thread, I knew I just had to comment on a few things:
1. they will be missed ~ Dave was funny, and with Simi, they were a likeable pair to watch each morning, although I found Simi rather uptight at what Dave might say or act..and was always trying to be politically-correct. She often interrupted him, that was annoying but bareable.
2. the biggest loss might just be Tasha Chiew...{sp?} ..probably one of the best interviewers of any of the 'local' tv personalities. How she could make some of theose topics interesting, and yet be upbeat and polite...
3. I find Dawn Chubai often annoying ~ a big mouth doesn't help, and that Kyle fellow has the personality of a wet mop.
4. Mark is ok as an anchor ~ how he can say the same news every 15 minutes for 4 hours is amazing.
5. That eastern sports feed is useless.
6. I agree with a couple of messages: how often does one need to know the traffic backups...? It's the SAME, day in and out.
7. And now a bus report? Busses are usually late and full at the same time...so that's useless reporting.
8. I can't watch Lumpy and sleepyhead Lynn on the other channel...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
9. 'A' is Victoria-based, and boring, too...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz{although Bronwyn is cute}.
10. And Sarah Daniel responded on this thread? And she has a NEW hairstyle...dropped the 70's look. Amazing. Real estate must be doing well for her.

I had 70's hair? Crap! I was so tired at the time, I never noticed......
