Harvard Names New GM Regina SK from Thomas Staseson
Mr. Paul Hill, President and CEO of Harvard Broadcasting Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Cam Cowie as General Manager of Harvard Broadcasting Inc.
In this new position, Cam will manage the day to day operations of the broadcast company and oversee the sales and marketing policies and strategic sales planning.
Graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce, Cam held marketing positions with Procter & Gamble and the Saskatchewan Roughriders before beginning his broadcast career with Harvard as an account executive at CKCK Television Regina in 1983 and rising to the position of retail sales manager in 1988.
Cam has had a number of senior management positions, with multi market and multi station responsibilities.
In 1991 he joined Craig Media Inc as General Sales Manager MTN Television, followed by a move to Alberta as General Sales Manager Craig Media Inc. responsible for all the Craig Television Stations. In 2001 Cam returned to Manitoba as Vice President Television Manitoba and Vice President, Revenue Management and Sales Administration Craig Media Inc. Following the Sale of the Craig assets Cam remained in Winnipeg as Vice President & General Manager Citytv Winnipeg.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities Cam has served on several industry committees on local and national levels.
Michael Olstrom will continue as Harvard Broadcasting's Group Station Manager overseeing programming, format management as well as government and community relations. Bruce Cowie will continue to lead the expansion of Harvard's radio business across Western Canada.
Paul Hill expresses his confidence that Bruce, Cam and Michael have the experience, energy and enthusiasm to lead and compete successfully in a very competitive radio environment.
Cam Cowie's appointment is effective immediately.
