Kathy Dore is leaving Canwest later this year after four years of changing names for the assets ....  http://www.broadcastermagazine.com/issues/ISArticle.asp?id=88009&issue=08072008   is the "corp" falling apart like Skylab did when it re-entered the atmosphere?

Man, don't they know how to "raise" money .... oops, Canwest stock jumps amid rumors that the Aspers want to privatize due to the 83% drop in their share price in 18 months and a debt load of more than $3.7 billion ... asset worth $366 million ... I wouldn't touch that one.  http://www.broadcastermagazine.com/issues/ISArticle.asp?id=87888&issue=08052008

I wonder if they might release CHEK to an entity who would make it "whole" and local again .... can they stop the bleeding?  Lot's of questions.

I wouldn't mind a bit if Canwest put CHEK up for sale...in fact, I'd welcome it because then that would mean no more E! and no more of its celebrity gossip crapfest shows, then perhaps a locally-owned CHEK could get some decent shows on its sched.

Whether or not Canwest will do so, though...
