Long time Vancouver host/reporter Andrew Dawson is leaving the city to assume the position of morning news anchor for Rawlco Radio News Talk CJME AM 980 Regina SK.  After stints in Port Alberni and Penticton BC, he anchored and reported news at News1130 CKWX Vancouver from 1996-2005, hosted The Standard on OMNI TV CHNU-TV/66 from 2005-07 and was with CKNW AM 980 for the last year.  His final day at 'NW is August 12.  

Also leaving CKNW is community events reporter Kevin Hayes, who has been with the Corus Radio Vancouver group since 2005.  He plans to pursue opportunities in cartoon production, spot and imaging voice work as well as being the spokesperson for charitable organizations.

I dealt with Kevin on numerous occasions. His skill and professionalism will no doubt be sorely mised...
