In addition to his new duties, Whitaker will continue in his role as senior vp. His new day-to-day responsibilities will include executive oversight of Meet the Press, as well as all of NBC News network election and political coverage. He will oversee all D.C. Bureau management and administration, as well as work closely with NBC News political director Chuck Todd, and with deputy bureau chiefs Wendy Wilkinson and Brady Daniels. He will also make occassional appearances as an on-air political analyst. Whitaker joined NBC News in 2006.
