CBC News Welcomes Guest Host
Ralph Klein
To The House, This Saturday

July 28, 2008 - 02:30 PM

Ralph Klein working for the CBC?!? That’s right. Alberta’s scrappy and quotable former premier returns to his journalistic roots to guest-host THE HOUSE, CBC Radio One’s weekly look behind the scenes at the world of Canadian politics. This special edition will air Saturday, Aug. 2, at 9 a.m., on CBC Radio One.

Currently a senior business advisor for Calgary’s Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, Klein spent more than 30 years in public service. He started out as mayor of Calgary and ended as Premier of Alberta for 14 years.

Before politics, Klein was the senior civics affairs reporter for CFCN radio and television in Calgary.

THE HOUSE, normally hosted by Kathleen Petty, delves into the world of policy and Canada’s role on the world stage. The program gets regular reports and frequent contributions from CBC reporters in the Parliamentary Bureau and across the country. THE HOUSE airs Saturdays at 9 a.m. (9:30 NT) on CBC Radio One.
