I hear Rob Christie wrapped up on Magic today. Is Pat Cardinal recreating his old team from CHED to Capital? Or is Magic cleaning house before selling to Rogers?
According to Magic's website "Duncan Petersen is in for Rob this week" which would indicate Christie's just on holidays. Rawlco's usually pretty quick to remove people off their website when they leave (as are most stations).

I looooove how the gossipsphere that is PSR can whip themselves in to a frenzy over something that isn't true so they can fantasy-program a station that has them all warm and fuzzy (a station, which likely got an unnatural bump in the BBMs... remember, once is lucky... twice could be something... three times -- that's a trend).
The president of their company said they're not selling. What part of that *don't* you understand. Do you need someone to make it any clearer for you?
February 11, 1999 "With the change at CISS-FM Toronto came rumors about more possible changes and/or sales of other Rawlco Communications stations. Rawlco President Gord Rawlinson says such speculation is in error. In fact, he said, “the only market where we felt we had no chance of doubling-up was Toronto,”
May, 1999 Rogers buys CKIS Calgary and CHUM buys CJMJ/CFGO Ottawa
From what everybody is saying, it seems that Rawlco will sell to either CHUM/CTV or Rogers. Just a matter of time. From what I hear Rawlco does not like to tell anybody anything until the last possible second, even PD's and GM's. As Aaron pointed out we've seen it before in the east, it will happen in the west...just wait
Just because a company prez says it, doesn't make it so. Do you think the guy is in town for Capital Ex? My guess is shit will be hitting the fan shortly.

Okay, so who's your source then.
All I'm saying is that the company is on the record stating something. Unless you have a name more tangible and credible than Graham Hicks, or your own imagination, then this story (sic) is nothing more than typical PSR fantasy baseball.
I did say my 'guess'. Nothing more. I don't work for them so it doesn't effect me. It is fun to speculate though, not as much fun as fantasy baseball but we wouldn't lurk here if it wasn't somewhat interesting.
Since we're talking fantasy baseball... Does anybody have any "stats" on Christie? From what I remember he's been hitting a little below league average for the last fifteen years.

While I'm fantasy programming... on another link, Hicks is talking about Pat Cardinal recreating a three person team at Capital... Who would the third be? Randy Broadhead?
When it was Rob, Audie and .... who was before (or just after) Seanna Collins? Dyed blond. Average build. Glasses. Did news. 'Debbie' comes to mind but I dont think it was.
It was Kelly Vail when they flipped to FM, leaving Seanna behind on AM. Laurie Lancaster had a spin with them years earlier. Janet was after Eileen Bell, right after Rob and Audie were put together. They churned through female third bananas.
I seem to recall a period in the 90's where Seanna was either filling in or replacing one of those bananas. Rob and/or Audie made light of her local TV show and she stormed off never to return. I believe Hicks even reported it the next morning. Everybody in town was talking about it.

This was obviously a minor issue. I seem to recall a post by Rob Christie in the Gord Robson tribute thread a while back mentioning a recent dinner with Gord, seanna, and Rob. So whatever transpired then is undoubtedly cleared up.
