July 1986 Vancouver was buzzing with Expo, Westminter Quay Market opened and on Canada Day  July 1, 1986 at 9:37 a.m. Harvey Gold announced Vancouver's newest radio station was 3 years in the making.

I actually remember that day very well.  We happened to be at a station event in Chilliwack and we were all very interested to hear the signal strength and the first song they played.

I've always wondered what happened to John Cummings. After JR, he did weekends and later middays at CISL in the early '90s. Not sure where he went when he left CISL in the spring of 1992.

I remember Doug Lynn (sp) was the new sign on guy but he left to work in the valley and then it was the Frank and Sharon show.  Awe the good ol days.
