I listened on the first day of the format (June 14), and was decidedly unimpressed with the commercial load. There'd be two songs, a five-minute block of commercials, then two more songs, and so on. I gather this had to do with honouring advertiser contracts, but still, its a major tune-out IMHO for any music station stunting with a new format. Hopefully they at least hire a couple solid pros for AM and PM drive. Perhaps we'll see Chuck Chandler returning to his former stomping ground? |
