Just heard Ron (Toygo?) on CISL.  Apprently Giants Play by Play has moved over to 650.  Where was it before - CFUN?

It is confirmed that all 72 regular season games and playoffs will be heard on 650 CISL this coming season.  The past year the Giants broadcasts were all over the map, CKNW, Evolution 107.9 (I believe that was it) as well as some on-line streaming.  This new agreement, which I believe is for three years, will bring some much needed stability to the broadcasts.  Interesting note to todays announcement...the Giants will continue with a promotional agreement with Corus.

Is there anyone in the wings awaiting their big chance to become a voice in the market, if Joey Kenward gets the Canucks gig?

Is Dan Russell going to cozy up to some BCJHL broadcast types now, like he did with Kenward, Wilms, and every other WHL guy in the province?  Methinks Russ won't be so all=WHL, all the time now.  Of course, he is running out of leagues.

is CISL really the right fit for the Giants? I mean my Mom listens to CISL and she isn't a Giants fan. Will fans turn over just to listen? Will be interesting to see what happens

Noticed a "Medium Market WHL" job on Milkman today...did someone get the Giants gig, and now another team is trying to replace...haven't heard any other news about a WHL PBP guy leaving, besides the speculation that Joey is moving to the Canucks.
