Any thoughts on stations who "tell all"?  I find it interesting that only one station on NC's site has everything divulged...could it be an internal info-access blunder?

If you call up the web sites for 790 CFCW or Capital FM 96.3 (CKRA), you'll find that you'll also get all the rate card information. Ditto for W1440 (CKJR) in Wetaskiwin. Obviously, Newcap is doing it for all the stations in its Edmonton Radio Group.

Every other ad medium shows some form of pricing on their website, why shouldn't a radio station?

As a buyer (and former radio guy), having online access to radio ad info makes it easier to plan a new market. I understand the reluctance to show a rate card when your rates fluctuate, but stations should at least put a little tab on the home page titled 'advertising', and provide us with a station and listener profile and an average :30 reach plan rate. The more efficient you make the process of buying radio, the easier it will be to attract new advertisers.

...and yes, I could start by calling a rep (sorry, Account Executive) but my phone-ins most often get passed on to the sales assistant or a junior rep that then has to go and look up the info, or a sales manager that takes a day or 2 to get back to me. Please fix the phone-in process at your stations!

I feel much better now, thanks.

I'm a buyer and former radio guy too, and totally agree. As stations increase the size of their sales departments, customer service  continually gets worse. (Help! I think I'm channeling Hank Hill)
